Poor you! But I warned you about my stakes and stands. We really differ in views. Even more than I feared.

It will not be easy to find conservatives over here that agree fully with you. Your battered soul (by me) will be soothed a little bit by talking with members of the patriotic ultra right, of course. Too bad we have no English version of the Voting Compass, a tool for determining the similarities between your views and the policy decisions of all the political parties with seats in parliament. I would love to see the ranking fitting your opinion. Forecast: turn my ranking 180° around to find yours.

Do you still want to search for middle ground with me? I am curious on what issue we do not diametrically oppose. Found one up to now: the 2021 election was not stolen.

By the way: Biden/Harris are following my fridge-list quite well. I will write an update after the first 100 days. The prospects are rather good.

Have a nice weekend! Over here the ‘Russian bear’ is breaking and entering. He comes with ice rain, snowstorm and frozen water. Trains are stalled, car traffic is limited. All 17.000.000 Dutch will soon be making snowmen, skate on any frozen surface, drink hot chocolate, eat pea soup and snuggle around the fireplace.
