Last week we witnessed the downfall of King Lear, all the bloody details included. Gloucester’s eyes scooped out, the three daughters murdered by each other or a (bastard-)relative. Slightly less bloody than Richard III, that slaughter orgy, but still a massacre. Indira wrote ‘there’s family and relatives’, but in the bloody end the difference is small. Been in Modena, Parma, Milano, Turin already? Ah, Italy-thinking about blood……
