I see. That is a sad story, Kathy. The Dutch writer E. Douwes Dekker, one of our greatest, wrote: ‘how strange it is that so many people think they are able to keep children. I know a zookeeper who knows how to keep tigers. Another one is exceptional with birds. Fish farmers have their special skills. But everybody keeps children.’
I am sure we all need just a few others to be well — a safe and sane circle of loved ones (that’s one other reason to avoid Facebook or at least not to believe in its false message of vital social mega networks of ‘friends’.). Bonding is one of he main tasks of parents. Sad to learn you and your sisters weren’t lucky enough to be raised in that vein. I hope you and your sister will succeed in breaking the wrong patterns and keep together.
