I’ve tried to answer the question, Aaska Ejaz. In my language, Dutch, there is a difference between ‘verliefdheid’ en ‘liefde’, translatable in ‘amourousness’ and ‘love’. Amouresness, more often than not, is the physical, obsessive beginning of love, I think. If we want to see, hear, smell, feel, be close to someone, we have fallen in love. Beautifully pictured in the wish to touch the leaves the loved one touched a moment before. And look, there is the fragrance too. Like pressing our nose into a pillow or garment to be close again.
