Hi poets, is an introduction required by newbies like me, or do we let the poems speak for themselves?

(Edited version: added the picture of Eric Dolphy and tried to improve on the rhythm.)

Lights are dimmed, murmur dies away

Want to flee but have to stay

An artist’s work is never done, so

just show up and play man, play

Remember Eric Dolphy’s words:

When music is in the air, it’s gone

Friend of life and beauty and foe of spoilers of life and beauty. Golden marriage. Grandfather. Pianist and micro poet. Dutch, European.
